"Hétérotopies"

The collection draws its inspiration from two main sources: Michel Foucault’s “Hétérotopies” and Lois Greenfield’s photography. Heterotopia (the English synonym for “Hétérotopies”) or what is commonly referred to as “spaces of otherness”, is a term which was initially raised by the French philosopher, Michel Foucault. The “spaces of otherness” are spaces which are neither here nor there and which represent escape windows from the burden of our daily lives.
