Inspired by a close friend who suffers from bipolar, using diary quotes, poetry and naive illustration. The busyness of the print with the rope-like chunky knitwear and the uneven cuts, slits and texture in the layered leather jacket shows the more complicated, difficult and straining aspects of bipolar. Mixed with the delicate pleating, pure white chiffon and elegant silk jersey shows a more calm, beautiful and the masked side of depression. The top heavy silhouettes show the struggles and suffocations a bipolar can feel.
