this project explores carnivalesque theory as an idea behind the luxury environment and how it can transform us. Flamboyancy plays a big part and is visible within the collection highlighting the playful nature of self-expression through colour and pattern. I wanted my fabrics to evoke tactile intrigue as well as a capture you visually. rough juxtaposing patterns and textures to create intended chaos inspired by constructivist art and Avant Guard theatre, such as Victory over the Sun, set designed by Kasimir Malevich.
