Having graduated with an MDes in Fashion Design with Business, Cherelle aims to approach fashion and sustainability from the perspective of how design can be emotionally durable, and encourage individualism, through optional styling and configuring of garments on the body. Previous experience includes working at womenswear designer Erdem, and with Brighton based couturier Suzie Turner and up and coming menswear label PostHuman Wardrobe.

Is it possible, with all the issues surrounding fashions unsustainably, to re-design, develop and offer variable solutions to the wearability of fashion?
Slot + Fold aims to address the issues behind emotional attachment to a garment, through encouraging a sophisticated and considered take on ‘mix and match’, tackling the concept of how a garment or product can have an interchangeable capacity to it. The collection can be viewed as a selection of outfits and/or products, and that are structural, feminine and inquisitive;
Key inspiration comes nets of boxes and packaging; how one flat shape can transform through folding, and also, how the shapes created can then inform how a garment can be broken up into component parts.
