Caterina Belluardo is a contemporary shoe designer. Sicilian-born and now based in London, Caterina works with traditional and classic forms combining this with unconventional materials. Her influences range from contemporary furniture movements, lifestyle and art history. During her first year MA at the Royal College of Art, she won the Intel Design Project, was selected as one of the 4 finalists for the Manolo Blahnik Design Competition and was awarded for the Montague Burton Design Project. Caterina has practical skills learnt from previously studying at Cordwainers. These have given her the confidence to produce outstanding final pieces for her final collection for her MA at the Royal College of Art, where she perfected her talents. Her final collection Memphis Meets Me won her a place in the Camper workshop in the Summer as well as a chance to present her collection at the Who's Next Pret a Porter Trade Fair in Paris, both in July 2013.
