Zara Jacqueline Kattiems is the brain behind CAROLINE 1942. She is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (Atlanta) with a Bachelors in Fashion Design and a background in Fine Art (Painting). Zara was born in London, England and raised in Nigeria. As a result of her cultural background, She is able to juxtapose aspects of her rich African heritage with London high life. Growing up in both London and Nigeria has contributed greatly in her Art and thus inspired her work as a Designer. In 2015 she was selected to be under the mentorship of Daniel Vosovic; Project Runway's season 2 finalist for her senior collection at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Zara believes that art is a way of life, a way to escape to a World within. She is passionate about what she does and when she isn't designing, She is sculpting, painting, listening to her favourite records and cooking.
Zara Jacqueline's love for Worldwide travel has also been a significant factor in her designs. She is intrigued by the diversity of cultures and how it is able to influence the modern world of Fashion. Her spirituality helps her see life through the eyes of her Creator and thus She is made as his masterpiece.
