Hong Kong born and currently London-based, Wong graduated at the Chelsea College of Art and Design. Specialising in Woven Textile Design, shapes, motifs and experimentation with materials have naturally become part of her creative world. Having lived in four different continents, Wong is an uncompromising twenty-first century independent woman, unafraid to explore the unconventional from a young age. Enriched by a wealth of cultural heritage absorbed during her creative education, life experiences and impressive resume in the fashion industry, she values the art of uniting multi-culture traditional crafts and creativity, with the mission to create high-quality, timeless and sustainable collections.

Tintifawin Series 2

Carolina Wong continues to manipulate classic patterns with her signature weaving technique. Besides stripes, this season she explores checks, diagonal stripes, and ging- stripes (gingham combined with stripes).
The ‘Tintifawin’ collection is inspired by Wong’s field trip to Chefchaouen, often described as ‘the blue pearl of Morocco’, and known for the bright pigments used by its residents who regularly paint their houses with shades of blue. Wong was particularly struck by the innocent and unexpected bright colour combinations observed on the streets near a school in the Medina, where children are allowed to experiment and express themselves by painting freely.
The collection is Wong’s interpretation of Chechauen, as the gaily yet artistic colour combinations so vividly expressed in the town play a vital part in her designs.
