CARLA ANDREA is an art project born out of fashion design and studies in sustainable textile finish. These are particularly important on the grounds that no sustainable activity is possible without contributing our know-how or integrating the processes in the textile value chain. For this reason, each job is undertaken with an ethical and environmentally responsible outlook, revaluing craftsmanship techniques in opposition to the normativity of the fashion industry. Environmental concerns influence side-taking: handcrafted textile treatments, textile waste reuse and noble raw material recycling struggle to avoid polluting natural resources.
