Launched in 2010, C.A.K.E by Christine Aranha & Christine Aranha are two diverse brands.

C.A.K.E is a sophisticated, yet eclectic brand with a playful sensibility, much likes its founder. The Eponymous brand ‘Christine Aranha’ is a fusion wear diffusion label for the higher end of the market.

A graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, Christine won the ‘Most Innovative Collection Award 2004’ from Swarovski at the NIFT’s Fashionova. Soon after, Christine respresented India at the Asian Young Fashion Designer’s contest at the Singapore Fashion Week winning rave reviews from the local press and industry at large.

Having started her career at Kavita Bhartia in 2004, Christine quickly climbed to the position of Head Designer, while helping create a new identity of the brand under Kavita. After 6 long years at Ogaan, Christine finally decided to take the plunge and thus C.A.K.E was created.

Christine incorporates her love of culture, music and fashion into each collection. She is inspired by things around her and gives something edgy to the C.A.K.E girl. Whether she wants to look sweet or sexy, is off for a night out on the town or going to work, Christine instinctively knows what the C.A.K.E girl wants. The brand stands for re-invention.

Born in Pune and raised in Hyderabad, Christine lives in a quaint corner of New Delhi.
