Bastian KNTWR is dedicated to knitwear, design and the love and process of hand knitting. Created by Elizabeth Bastian, Bastian KNTWR is located in a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Elizabeth was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and she received her BFA in fashion design from Parsons the New School for Design. With experience as a knitwear designer at both Coach and Marc Jacobs, Elizabeth launched Bastian KNTWR to stem a growing dissatisfaction with the status quo and archaic operations in the industry as well as a balm to the turbulent times we find ourselves in.

Elizabeth finds the simple act of hand knitting a therapeutic exercise which allows a return to slow fashion. Each sweater is hand knit by Elizabeth using the finest merino wools and mohair. Intricate designs are executed in unusual intarsias and jacquards with graphic stripes as well as checkerboards framing the pieces in bright colors. Bastian KNTWR is built on the joy of hand knitting and the transformational effect wearing a one of-a-kind, handcrafted garment can have on the owner.
