MA (London College of Fashion - Fashion Artefact ) collection inspired by the Indian ritual Kavadi - the Kavadi devotees are able to reach their spirits by exposing their bodies to a conscious pain and get to a meditative state where they could experience their deepest personalities and
find their self-identities thus reach a pleasurable state. The concept of the collection comes from this idea, each piece of the collection causes the wearer physical pain.

The pieces of the collection are placed in the fields of both accessory design and fine art as they can be worn as well as looked at as sculptures when exhibited in a gallery space. The pieces are wearable art pieces with elements of jewellery, accessories, and sculpture. The silhouettes are clean and minimalistic, yet fine hand made details add luxury and timelessness to the objects. The finished pieces are wearable artifacts that sit outside of the current framework of what fashion is perceived, so the design approach is not holistically driven by trends, instead it looks to transcend seasons, making the accessories great investment items.
