BIOGRAPHY
Babilina Machaidze is my name, and I was born on November 12, 1994. Our neighborhoods are known for their multi-ethnic and religious population, where Asia and Europe, old and new, have been perfectly combined. Our neighborhood life resembles a Greek wedding or an Italian family meeting.
I've been playing tennis since I was a child, and I've won numerous domestic and international tournaments. I've acquired critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as a strong desire to succeed. I've also traveled extensively, which has broadened my worldview even more.
As an adult, I discovered that I was drawn to sewing and creating and creating a big masterpiece from tiny details, so in 2014 I learned to work with felt and build it with designer Lela Kulian.
Years of study: 2018-2022. I graduated from the Design Faculty of the Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze Art Academy with 100% internal financing. I got a state grant for two years of my studies at the academy.
For me, the student era was a completely new and light experience in which I discovered complete freedom and harmony with myself and the world.
Now, briefly about my achievements
• In 2019, I worked with the Academy of Arts at the MERCEDES-BENZ TBILISI FASHION WEEK.
• I won the challenge and participated in the Ria Keburia Foundation's "Textile Art" workshop with designer Lasha Devdarian and Ketevan Karchava 2021.
• Plans for the future Master's degree obtained in another country. In the future, I hope to launch my own brand, "BABILINA."
