Anna Alanko

Anna Alanko is a Helsinki based fashion and textile designer. Since finishing her MA degree in Fashion and Clothing Design Anna has worked as a freelancer.

During her studies Anna interned for Belgian fashion designer Christian Wijnants (www.christianwijnants.be) as well as took part in the European Textile Trainee program where she explored the technique of jacquard weaving in the Audax Textile Museum in the Netherlands and worked as a pattern designer for Colorimoda in Italy. As a BA student she also did a minor in Textile Design.

The heart of Anna’s design work is always in the textiles and patterns she illustrates, designs and weaves herself. Her garments aim to convey an air of lightness, femininity and joy through dreamy colours, diverse textures and kooky silhouettes.
