AMY BANT

Amy Bant has recently graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Knitted Textiles. As one of the 24 designers chosen to be part of Texprint 2013, she will be exhibiting at Indigo, Premiere Vision, Paris in September.

Having specialised in knit since the start of her BA degree at Manchester School of Art, Amy has a high level of technical knowledge and skill, is a competent hand knitter and experienced on both domestic and dubied knitting machines.

Amy's current collection is a combination of knitting techniques and hand finished detailing to create couture fabric, suggestive of garments but ultimately left open to the interpretation of the viewer. Working in this way eliminates restrictions, resulting in an exciting collection of fabrics and ideas with endless applications.
