Swiss/Mexican duo Aline Barrero Ochoa & Tom Bauer Ochoa founded the brand ALINE OCHOA in 2011. With the experance of Aline who has worked for many big houses and Tom's visual experiance as a photographer they try to create cloths that reflect their personality and vision and give their pieces their own signature.
They are creating for a woman that conciously and playfully reflects her personality in the way she dresses. She values the respect for individuality, freedom and independence but tries not to take herself too serious. It is important for her to look at the world with the necessary dose of humour without loosing focus on her goals.

ALINE OCHOA,
originally from Mexico grew up most of her youth in Europe. After graduating at the London University College in architecture she studied fashion design at the Instituto Europeo di Design in Rome. She was discovered by STEFANO PILATI at a student competition and moved to Paris working at YVES SAINT LAURENT as first assistant for 2 years.

After she created her own Couture label and at the same time creating the costumes for feature movies in Hollywood and the Opera in Paris and Tokio. She continued to work for the houses of ALEXANDER MCQUEEN, AZZEDINE ALAIA and GIVENCHY both in ready to wear and Haute Couture until founding her own brand ALINE OCHOA. Aline works now as it’s creative director and managing partner responsible for all creations in ready to wear and made to measure Couture.

TOM BAUER,
born in Switzerland, has lived in London and Paris for the past 10 years. After his Diploma in Business Studies he went to London and graduated in 2002 with a HND in Fashion Styling & Photography (London College of Fashion) and a BA in Photography & Digital Imaging at Oxford Brooks University. He quickly set up his business as a fashion photographer working for international clients in the media and advertising. Tom is now working as the artistic director and managing partner responsible of the brand image of Aline Ochoa.

Autumn Winter 2014 / 15 "Requiem of an Autumn Dance"

This collection is about the woods that are on the brink of their seasonal decline. Full of colours that symbolize the energy of life, like red as the colour of blood, yellow as the colour of the sun. Although we know it is hard to imagine when you are in a wood so coloured that in a short time everything will have gone to sleep.
We started by doing pictures of leaves in this blast of colours that was surrounding us. It is a blurred crazy dance of embracing and repelling of all this colours; it feels like the woods have one last blast before letting it all go. Left is only a peaceful space of naked trees that are sleeping, waiting and gathering energy for rejuvenation.
On the dresses as we see them now the colours are a memory of this experience, a constructed memory that holds the body of our women. It is a colour requiem that holds this memory like a photograph of our past. It’s memory of a bygone dance of colourful bliss that lasts just till the next one takes our fancy.
