I think fashion is the ultimate form of contemporary culture. It is the appearance of philosophy, aesthetics, politic of a time and in a way, by taking a part of it, we are creating history.
My latest collection is inspired by Tony Ward, a gentleman from the 20’s. I try to capture the elegance, romance of the period in a modern sense. The prints in the collection are based on the old English tailoring fabric patterns, such as hounds tooth check, Argyle check, Prince of Wales check and so on. Industrial fabric helps me to create simple, geometric shapes and silhouette inspired by the Art Deco graphics.
