A highly ambitious innovative designer with a variety of Menswear and Womenswear design experience with a highly sleek approach to creating new and unconvential wear. Having originally starting out designing Womenswear, his artistic ability to sketch paved a stylized design aesthetic, going on to gain a design internship for TIM HAMILTON in NYC summer 2011. On returning to his final year in university, Agyei decided to take an unusual design route into Menswear, finding a new strength and design abiity to transform his own vision of minimalistic shopisticated edge we are now seeing taking form within Menswear. With taking inspiration and influence from his hometown, raised within the streets of Brixton, South London, street-stylers and everyday art forms from throughout the city only fuels for more interesting cuts, silhouette and detail within his design direction.

AGYEIC Menswear Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

"With menswear being taken into a new exciting direction, I wanted to celebrate this but also creating a collection that was keeping to the essences of my design aesthetics. Transparency plays lead with sheer layering, relatable to my findings visiting the Galeries Layfayette, in Paris. The Parisian influence follows through into a muted colour palette, cleverly using textures within the fabric selection to give the collection some depth.
Hailing from South London, I turnt towards the streets for influence and mood. From street-stylers that showcase effortless individual styling, with a hardcore demeanor of roadside boys that live by ther’re means, dressing with a new sharp & confident edgy elegance. I decided to play with proportions inspired by samurai attire creating an unconventional and inspiring overall silhouette. It's taking a route of shopisticated edge, focusing on cut, fabrications and layering"
