I was born and raised in San Salvador de Jujuy (the north of Argentina) I graduated from high school and moved to Buenos Aires to study Fashion Design at the University of Buenos Aires, in 2018 I graduated from university and in 2019 I moved to New York to work with other designers and also as a freelancer, in December of that same year, I returned to Argentina for holidays and due to the global pandemic I had to stay in my province. At the beginning of 2020 I created my brand AGUIRRRRE, in which the first collection is inspired by the carnival of my province, currently, I am designing for my brand in my province eager to return to NY but at the same time I enjoy being in my place, my country.

SERES MITOLÓGICOS

This collection is based on the belief of mythological beings in Jujuy, Argentina, and throughout the rest of Latin America. A big part of our culture is influenced by superstitions and how they can predetermine our destinies.
All the superstitions that are symbalic to me are represented in the designs of this collection, from the colors, abstract morphology,
textures and construction of the garments.

The significance and importance of these mythological beings are represented in the reconstruction of garments and hidden messages. Such as the myth of the dwarf who is responsible for taking lost objects when they go missing, they are showcased in a garment that have missing sections /abstract cutouts/dislocated fabrics to symbolize the misplacement of lost objects,
My perception of these mythical beings and what they mean to me will be on display in this collection.
