For me My final project was a way to deal with personal struggle and the experience of loss
and the feeling of emptiness ,loneliness that came after I lost my father
The process started with me searching among the objects and photos he left behind
On his cell phone I found a series of photos he took on his workplace He worked as a construction electrician and used to document most of his work, but focused on the extension systems of electric wires,
These wires run along the whole body of the building. The pictures revealed
Everything that is hidden under the outer walls.
As I went deeper, I recognized in them the
The emotions I'm going through
between the reality of destruction and between attempts at building anew
, I tried to give these pictures an interpretation in my world
And I designed with their help a collection with a spiritual, tribal and ritual meaning.
I created the textile work from scratch with a domestic knitting machine
The heavy weight of the clothes expresses the experience of deep mortality that I go through as a designer And as a person.
Techniques: knitting with a domestic machine, sewing with hand / machine, bending and metal welding, digital printing, Tailoring .
Materials: wool, nylon and silk yarn , lycra fabrics, brass pipes and wires, plastic boning.
