Surface / Cast

Surface/Cast is a contemporary jewellery and home décor label.

The logo symbol represents the philosophy behind surface cast. The logo symbolises the duplication process from original to final sculptural piece. Each piece has the symbol engraved as the motif of authenticity like a signature to that process.

As with all work created, each piece is one-of-a-kind and marks/indentations on the surface are considered a design element and not a fault in the piece.

My label has a connection to Australian natural resources, my design pieces are often comprised of Australian outback red sand, rutile sand, and iron, these unique properties work aesthetically in the pieces. What I find interesting is the aesthetic dissection which brings two polar entities together in wearable and sculptural forms.

All work is handcrafted in my studio in Brisbane Australia.
