The Designer

A product of two of the most prestigious Design schools in India, Maithili Kabre Mandal is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai. A trained architect, backed by a post graduation in Lifestyle Accessory Design from NID, the varied influences of her background show in her work, as is the constant effort to re-invent and challenge traditional perception of jewellery, evident in each collection.

Retailing hand-made jewellery since 2004, she established her label of fashion jewellery ‘Swa’ in 2009 after graduating from NID. Maithili Kabre Jewellery is a step further in the direction in pursuit of design & realization of exquisite, stand-out jewellery.

The Label

Maithili Kabre is an eponymous label of finely hand-crafted, luxurious fashion jewellery. Elegance in design is our core principle, and we believe that our products will only enhance the look and personality of the woman who wears Maithili Kabre jewellery, never overpowering the person.

A feminist label, that believes in the power of beauty and strength of personality of a woman who knows her mind. Our Collections, inspired by or expressing the varied facets of being a woman.

The label known for working in unconventional materials & a unique design language has been featured in some of India’s leading Fashion publications such as Vogue, Elle, Femina, L’officiel, Grazia & Hindustan Times, TimeOut magazine amongst others. And being a favourite with celebrities and top actors.
