Craig Green graduated from the Central Saint Martins MA in February 2012, where he was awarded a full scholarship and went on to receive the L’Oreal Professionnel Creative Award for a 17 look menswear collection, where ‘precise monochrome layering’ was noted by style.com’s Tim Blanks.
Green’s Debut Collection at London Fashion week was under Fashion East and shown in the LC:M SS13 Installation 2012. Despite Spring/Summer 13 being Green's first collection at LFW, the potential of his very definite aesthetic, which is rooted in ‘boyhood fantasy, the pursuit of adventure, and a certain D.I.Y masculinity’ has already caught the attention of long established brands.
As well as working for the likes of Walter Van Beirendonck and Henrik Vibskov, Green has gained commercial merit for his own designs, winning the New Era XC Prize in 2010, in celebration of the companies’ 90th anniversary, in which he re-interpreted the iconic baseball cap.
While In 2011, he was awarded first prize in a competition held by Bally of Switzerland to design an 8 style shoe collection, which was stocked in each of their flagship stores internationally.
During the London 2012 Green worked with Adidas on their All-in Project and created a pair of customised Adidas Featherlite trainers for David Beckham.
Green has collaborated with multiple London based designers, most recently Christopher Shannon, with whom he created a series of headpieces for Spring/Summer 12 and Spring/Summer 13.
Greens designs have received online coverage from Dazed Digital, I-D Online, BOF-The Business of Fashion, Esquire, VOGUE UK & Italia, Interview Magazine, GQ, and Hypebeast, Style.com. As well as appearing in Fantastic Man, 10 Magazine, WAD and Designo.
