I named this collection for “The Moire Effect”- which describes the visual phenomenon that two patterns superimposed upon each other will produce a third pattern, completely different from either of the original patterns. This fascinating visual effect also serves as a metaphor for the changing ways we each perceive the world—each layer of experience superimposed upon the last results in a new perspective.
