The collection is inspired from Michelangelo Pistoletto’s work: The Venus of the rags. Following the main characteristics of arte povera, I decided to use everyday materials such as secondhand clothes and post-consumer plastic waste. Trough exaggeration and experimental materials I create a new aesthetic of these leftovers, which is questioning the way society thinks about waste and value. The silhouettes of the outfits reveal a glimpse of historical inspiration, as a contrast to the contemporary fabrics and sportswear details.
